Pink Day

Will update later, hurt knee over a week ago...still unable to sit for a long time in same position
Yesterday, was a sad day, but also a day to remember with great joy...My daughters paperwork was received in China and our families wait began to bring home her daughter and my little Ladybug. When it began it was an average of a six month wait...it was two years yesterday. :(
Where ever you are Grandma Loves You and you have a big piece of her Heart!

Full Moon & Baseball

Today is Full Moon Day and by the news it will be an incredible Full Moon tonight....hope I remember by tonight so I can try to take photos. Otherwise rather uneventful, except went to a Ball game with my family. My Lil Orchid and I stood our ground down by the field and rooted for the outfielders during the before game practice, while Uncle Nathan got autographs over by the dugout. This has been a experience since he was about nine yrs old we have shared and enjoyed. His first autograph was Lou Brock who was inducted in the Hall of Fame the same year Nathan was born. Yes it is very time consuming but worth the time to spend with your child and see that excitement in their eyes. I still get giddy when I catch their attention and they sign something for me (for him). Last night however was very funny, as Fred Bird (the mascot) rode the little golf cart around the field before the game he was high 5'ing everyone who put their hand out. I sat my Lil Orchid on the edge of the wall and she held out her hand and Fred Bird touched her....She continued to hold that little hand out , finger spread wide and staring at it as though she would never wash her hand again. It was memorable! Sad news..we Lost :(

Smile Power Day & Happy Father's Day

So, today June 15th is covered both ways...Smiles and Fathers should go together. Although some families aren't so Lucky, some families don't have the greatest Dad's. I not talking about the hard nosed ones, that want you to be the best, or even the ones that spend all their time working, because they want to give you the best. They are least there, maybe to much in your face or too tired to pay alot of attention...but they are in the picture and you know they are there. So I'm sending my SMILES out to those who's fathers never grew up, too consumed with themselves, selfish and just down right mean, or who just up and walked away.
I hope you had a Mom or Guardian or someone now that wraps their Love around you and let's you know everyday just how Special and Unique YOU are! SMILE YOU ARE LOVED!

Friday the 13th is a Lucky Day

Well, by the calendar it is Friday the 13th or June 13th Lobster day. As far as Lobster day, I didn't eat any but did research the internet for Under the Sea things and saw a pic of a lobster.Wonder if that counts.

I will say that this week, the week of friday the 13th I felt lucky...no not because it is the last full week writing in Chocolate and losing a job I really enjoy. But because I got to decorate and write probably my last marriage proposal in Chocolate to some unknown couple in Love <3.

Lucky too, because my lil Orchid did a little modeling for me and some of my newest sewing creations. I love my granddaughter, I love sewing, and I love photography...I am so Lucky! :)
I also got the grass mowed before it rained again. (Ha Ha!)

If you would like to see more photos look at my ETSY Store at the three newest overall items.

Cuddle Up

Yes, I did it again...who knew that the card industry had an occasion for everyday, sometimes more than one. So Cuddle Up Day! Whether it be with your Honey or like me after a stressful day I cuddle up with the best little snuggler, My Lil Orchid. ;)

Well, gotta finish doing some sewing.....Picnics and watermelons seem to be on my mind.

Best Friends Day

Best Friends Day or Ice Cream Day, that is what I found out today is by browsing through the internet card sites. So I dedicate this day to my very bestest friend from Jr High throught the present, Janice N. We are kindred spirits brought together through music and dance. No, not a dance class.....just dance, after school dances, weekend bands, The Coloseum on Saturday night and Up With People. OMG, does that show my age. (for those younger generation readers, this was a uplifting group of young people who traveled and performed for audiences in the 70's)Teachers called us the Bobsie Twins because we were inseperable, Now even through marriage, children, and granddaughters...we still remain close even though we don't see each other very much. But she will always be my one true friend! Thanks for being there!! Oh yeah we celebrated ice cream day too! Had a frosty from Wendy's..mmmmmm

Yesterday by the calendar was Family Day..how ironic that we attended a Picnic for Adoption families to get together. Visited with old friends and meet new friends and their little ones. My little Orchid was in her prime (even with the heat) She is not quite as shy as before and tends to talk and warm up a little faster to the adults. She had lots of fun climbing the large wooden playground and having her Mom-Mom and myself push her on the big girl swings and explore the entire playground. She had fun with the bubbles and playing in her little red wagon. Hope you like her shortalls... Kite flying and Parks just seemed to go together.

Sunshine brings Smiles

I did not realize how the time is going by. I have been racing with the weather and juggling my unstable job hours and job search, not to mention getting some sewing done (Sewing is the only thing I'm really confident about.) Garden seems to be springing up fine...a few places bare so I'm sure the black birds feasted well. Needed to get alot of yard work done, moved part of a large mound of dirt left over from construction...built a small berm with some lilies and hostas planted near my fairy garden. Gone on a few job interviews, they seem impressed with application but given the same ole "we'll get back to you" (I really believe their is still age discrimination) I guess I need to invest in a bottle of hair color. Why can't they realize I'm a wealth of information and experience. And I definately do want the hassles of a relationship..so keep your men. Oh well, the optimistic ones keep telling me it has not been the right job.
