My Lil' Orchid turns THREE...

Time is moving so fast ...
watching Lil Orchid grow up
(she is still my baby granddaughter)
But very slow
waiting for her sister from China.

Here is a few photo's of her celebration with MomMom and MamMaw.
Mom Mom made Lil Orchid homemade donut holes
rolled in cinnamon and sugar for breakfast (first time treat)
Yes, she ate all her scrambled eggs and cheese I made her
before she indulged in the sweets.
Uncle Nathan was the first to call from college and sing "Happy Birthday"
then it was followed by Great Great and Ye Ye singing in the afternoon.

Crazy...but I'm Back!

All I can say is "Whee-e-e-e-" I am so glad to be back to sewing.

Felt guilty, it took me this long to help little Orchid with her Birthday gift from her MomMom and I. She asked at Christmas time for a sewing machine...Great Gram said she was too little, her reply "I only want a "little" sewing machine." So we couldn't resist when we saw this little Singer on sale after Christmas.

Sewn With Love...

Lots of NEW Dirndle Skirts added
to My ETSY SHOP.
Check it out!

What a productive day, it must have been the Love & all the help I got from Lil Orchid (she keeps me company when 'm sewing) It's amazing all the things she learns while helping....well there is all the colors of the buttons and thread, then there is counting the buttons, thread, and bobbins.
And especially
how to wind up the
thread spool when you drop it
and it rolls from one room to the next . LOL

Today she built a birthday cake and we sang and she practiced blowing out the invisable candle.

Unconditional Love from a Granddaughter

Happy Valentine's Day !

No big plans,
no fancy night out,
no bouquet of flowers,
no big box of chocolate.

Who needs that when you have the BEST
son, daughter & granddaughter who love you!
Had FUN this morning making a Valentine
with Lil Orchid (my granddaughter).
She glued the heart and helped decorate it.
When I wrote Be My Valentine
I spelled every letter as I wrote.
When she wrote she sang the ABC's. How CUTE!

Found a lost box of material in my attempt to do some cleaning.
How exciting, you'll have to wait an see what prints I found...
it was scraps from my daughter's clothing...whoa...vintage!
(not to insult her "vintage" is anything over 20 yrs)

Oh My Gosh....

I was given permission
to show off these incredible
photos of "S" wearing her
very own Orchids
and Ladybugs Dirndle Skirt.
The skirt is cute but
that face is absolutely adoreable.
I should be selling out soon with "S" as my Little East Coast Model.
Thanks again for your patronage and for sharing these
"Oh So CUTE" photographs!

Shuffle Step, Shuffle Step...that's my girl practicing her tap and stretching for her ballet moves.
She is always bringing her dance bag over to me or her MomMom needing us to help her get her dance shoes on.
