Spring Fair...beginning 2010

The Craft Fair started today...

a little slower than we would have liked

- but I can't complain

because we know

we did better than others

that were there.

Of course, my daughters hair bows were a hit,

so unique & beautiful,

I love seeing people appreciate her creativity and prices!

Then, other than that the appliqued Onesies, Overalls, Inspirational stones, Blocks & Bow holders were also in demand. A lot of people just browsed, maybe to get out of the houses.

Lil Orchid of course drew praises for being a perfect little Angel !

I made some TuTu and added some ears for the holiday season,

then my daughter made me some matching hair bows to pull it all together.

The Party's Over...

The Party's over and we are back to work...

getting ready for our first Spring Craft Fair

at Triad this weekend (Sat & Sun).

Been Busy Celebrating Lil Orchid's 4th B-day...

Yesterday, Sunday

was my one & only

grandchilds 4th Birthday.

We celebrated as a family -

with my daughter (her Mom Mom),

and my son drove in from Ohio

for the weekend and the 4 of us

enjoyed the love and serenity

of just being together.

After she opened a few presents and blew out her candles...

Butterflies and Baseballs, yup...that's what she wanted on her Birthday Cake, it was time to once again say Good Bye to my son so he could make the drive back home :(

As the day wound down, and I watched Lil Orchid scamper about, chattering about her birthday weekend and all the fun she had, I had to reflect....

No I didn't watch my daughter through a normal pregnacy...

I did watch her wade thru a ton of paper work, agonize with concern, and yearn for a child.

No I didn't rush to the hospital to watch my daughter deliver.

I did see her face when a stranger brought a photograph and brief description in the mail.

No there was no sterile room in a hospital filled with babies showered with love.

What I did see was a noisy, hot nursery filled with too many babies...

What I did see was my daughter handed a bundle so tiny from a nanny...

What I did see through tears of Joy was the face of MY granddaughter...

What I did see was My Daughter holding Her Daughter!

What I Do See is the Joy, Happiness and Love of our lives!

An Incrediable Party with Family...

Some friends and relatives couldn't make it ....but it was a perfect day with Great Great, YeYe and a good friend, Pat, along with us having a good buffet and lots of fun in the Arcade area. YeYe played "Deal or No Deal" and won 75 tickets..Good Job! While Great Great and Pat were more adventureous on trying alot of the games. I love this place cause there is no time limits, eat, play, eat, eat some more, play some more. A long, but great day for Lil Orchid. She got an giant brown bear. Some clothes , toys and some things to cook with. Uncle Nathan got her these great lighted "Cardinal" tennis shoes and a DVD player for car trips to his house.

Curly Top..

If you know or have seen

you can see she loves

to have her hair fixed

and to wear one of the

beautiful hair bows

made by my daughter.

She has a little curl

at the end of her hair

so I decided to curl her hair

and see just how much curl

it would hold,

or even how long it would hold.

Little did I know she would become a dark haired Shirley Temple. I now know that her hair definitely holds curl....and it held the tight curl all day long. Who Knew!

Today was her birthday celebration at school.

She loved that she got to sit in teacher's chair

and her friends sang Happy Birthday!

She looked so cute,

but she looked so different.

Footloose ?

That's right, Footloose, you know the movie (1984)(pregnant with my son). Anyway it was the strangest snow this morning....with the little morn sunrise the snow was so small it looked like Glitter , shimmering & floating down from the sky. See I was right, Footloose on dance night, at the end of the movie. Which reminds me "I need a Hero":)

Countdown to a Birthday Party...
Lil Orchid is getting so excited
about her 4th birthday.

Some of her little friends and cousins

will join her to celebrate

and my son will drive in from OH

because we know that there is no way

he will miss her birthday.
