Arrived late Thursday night, no set up until the mall was closed, our space was not ready, wrong size....so in trying to appease us she gave us a long skinny space against the rail. Got a headache trying to re-figure our set up. Satisfied...No, but thankful for some great new customers.

Back early, Friday morning to finish setting up.

Some long days this weekend.

Happy Easter

Well, it was damp outside this morning so the egg hunt in the front yard was done while wearing snow boots. LOL. After my son had to leave and head back to OH, we went to the StL Cardinals game.

This little Easter Rainbow can bring sunshine to any rainy day.

Yes, we know that it's rainy, yes even thunderstorms...

and yes, we waited for a rain delay....

But we still Had FUN!!!! Family Fun !!!

And a Cards Homerun made us really happy!

Easter Bunny visit..

Yes, we know it was last minute but,

we got to visit the Easter Bunny.

And the sweet giggles when he waved to her

still rings in my ears.

What next?

Yep, I really don't dare ask.

Especially after the terrible trip to

Clarksville, which besides the storms

and the theft of my purse....

what else.....how about replacing two tires on the van.

On a hilly back road, under telephone radar,

so the trek up a hill was necessary to get a call out. YUK!!

On a good note my son came in for the weekend,

He got to see his friends new baby girl (3 days old)

We made some gifts for her....

her daddy's favorite -a Bottlecap Hairbow

with "My Daddy's A Rock Star"

Lil Bo Peep

"Books I Love to Read" was the theme to the Childrens parade which advertised it was open to everyone, unfortunately that was not the case. Standing in the rain and cold for over an hour waiting to be judged and then the Judges not even talking to Lil Orchid, I knew something was wrong. After the prize for "Individuals", was awarded to the two children in the battery jeep with the Dr Suess books shrunk wrapped to their windshield,(there was at least 5 other Dr Suess themed groups)I knew, then it was verified No outsiders can win ;(

Lil Orchid was so excited, even almost para-sailing with the strong winds. She was exhausted due to the hills and the length of the parade (I thought I wouldn't make it) but the viewers along the route that clapped, rose to their feet and whistled gave her even more strength.

THANKS! For making a Little 5 yr old HAPPY!

And pooh to the parade committee for not posting ALL their rules

and letting a little girl and her Grandma down!

2 nd day of the Festival, I can't say we were lucky, we did a lot of work by ourselves preparing for the storm, it was necessary to help the neighbors since we were all link together ;(

one goes they all go!

Here was a few photos of some who didn't fare well.

Can't say anything good about the Festival itself, but the vendors were nice and the people that braved the bitter cold, thunderstorm, windy weather were Great. THANKS!

Not once did the people running the Festival come by our booth and ask if we were ok, during breakdown after 9pm the workers removed our lighting, threw our tarps on the filthy ground, and when I asked for a little more time (it was less then an hour) I was told "No old lady is gonna tell him how to do his job!" To say the least I was terrified, it was myself, my daughter and Lil Orchid in the dark at the mercy of these heathens.

So Nothing Good to Say ! We were set up outside the initial festival grounds, the next day not even the local newspaper mentions that there were even any Arts & Crafts there.

So out of area Vendors beware.

She Loves Me

I fought the lawn....

Yes, due to a crazy neighbor who started mowing a month and a half ago. And this week he started mowing twice a week, my grass now looks long. The weather man says next five days rain and thunder storms, so I mowed yesterday...all three acres. Whew! My daughter and Lil Orchid walked the grounds picking up trash and broken limbs from winter storms! I did NO SEWING Today ;(

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yep, as Lil Orchids keeps telling me all day, that today is my Birthday. Born the third child in a family of 5 children (yes, I am a Middle Child?) Not sure what that means, but I know I am Loved, by my family, my children, my grandaughter and my friends, so I am truely Blessed, what more could I wish for. (a job, better health, a little more money, and better for my family) Does this make me selfish on my birthday, I think not, Doesn't everyone want more for their Family ;) Spent the day with my daughter & granddaughter,Lil Orchid and my son called early in the morn singing "Happy Birthday". See I told you I was BLESSED!
