Trying to fit a weekend into a day.... my son drove in and we got to spend 1/2 a day with him. Lil Orchid was happy to see her Uncle (he was at that L-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-g-g-g--g Cardinal game on Saturday, 6 hrs 53 minutes) so it was late and we were asleep when he came home.

19 innings....

While my son drove in for a Cardinal game (yes, the LONG one) we went to yard sales...

looking for some buys and books. At least, Lil Orchid had fun!!

A Delightful Surprise !!

Today when the mail was delivered it brought a BIG Surprise from some very, very Special Friends....Thank You, Jonni, John, Sofia & Samantha!

Lil Orchid received a box filled with some Birthday & Easter Goodies.

She was so EXCITED and LOVED IT ALL!!!

On the way home....

What started as a beautiful sunny day to travel....turned into a scary, thunderstorm with hail and tornado warnings on the highway of h#@! We not only got an experience we wouldn't want to redo, but we added a few dings from the giant hailstones.

Lil Orchid did really well considering we had to pull over with the rest of the highway traffic due to heavy rain and was being pelted and rocked by the winds.

Finding Eggs High and Low..

We planned ahead to make sure Uncle Nathan & Lil Orchid got to celebrate some egg hunts together. Dressed in our almost Easter best, the hunt begins....first stop, Nathan held the bag as Lil Orchid filled it with 51 eggs...next park Lil Orchid scooped up 27 eggs. What a great day.

As for myself they found a bench or propped me up against a tree during the festivities and then gave me curb service for the ride back.

What a wonderful Birthday, I got to spend it with both my Amazing children and my Beautiful granddaughter.

The best pain killer I could have was the JOY of being with all of them.

The drive was gridlock and seemed to take forever, it shocked us that the traffic was just as bad when we headed home later.

They took me out to lunch, Olive Garden, and I think it was the first time I actually tasted food since my surgery.

We went back to the apartment and they surprised me with a birthday cake that Lil Orchid helped make - a Kitty Cat face.
