sunday, before the rain comes...

This was our 3rd day of working out in the yard,
mowing, moving yard decor and transferring plants.
It was hot and muggy because the storms
were moving into the Mississippi area.
Yes, we took our breaks in the shade and watched Lil Orchid play.

When can I rest and start sewing again ???

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday...

We have been catching sales and working in the yard. But we have made for some fun...
Isn't a box the greatest adventure. Lil Orchid is going to save me from aliens?

Lil Orchid loves to help water, especially if she gets SPLASHED!

Tuesday, a Pre-K Program

It was nearing the end of her Pre-K (3 yr old) so Lil Orchid's afternoon class sang songs for family & friends during their Evening Program and Ice Cream Social.

How Cute!

delayed Mother's Day Picnic

Last Sunday wasn't in the cards
to celebrate with my Mom for Mother's Day
so I post poned it until today.
My brother (2 counties away)was able to come into town with his three children and my sister from nearby (next County) was going to come over but my sister from Nashville TN drove up as a surprise for everyone. So we enjoyed the outdoors with Mom (Great Great) Ye Ye , Eddie with Allie, Dakota and Chance, then Vicky and Patti along with my daughter and Lil Orchid.
(It was the first full day for my son to be at his summer internship in Dearborn, MI. (Missed you!) He called and talked to me about his drive up there, his apartment, etc.
As you can see my $2 yard sale (the Big Red Spiderman Ball)
find was a BIG hit at the party, as well as baseball and washers.

Last Soccer Game & Good-bye

Early today we had to say good by to my son

who was traveling up north to his Summer Internship.
It was both sad and exciting for him and us.

It was also Lil Orchids last soccer game
and the day the awarded trophies for their hard work.
She was so excited because the girl on the trophy has a pony tail.
Since Ye Ye and Great Great was up visiting they got to see her in action too!

Wednesday, Outdoor Fun

While I was mowing Lil Orchid and her Mom Mom
played in the back yard on the trampoline
and walked along the creek.

It got to be pretty funny when the static began.

Cinco de Mayo and Moving

Christie & Shelby...You girls crack me up
...and thanks for leaving comments!

We moved most of Nathans things for him
from his Apt back home for the summer
while he goes to his furnished apt for his Internship.

We had a lot of fun visiting, ate a pizza
and then had to say good bye for a few days
until he finishes his finals this week.

As for Cinco de Mayo, I had to have a pit stop on the way home and we stopped at a Taco Bell.

Soccer, Sales and Yard Work!

Today started off chilly (50's) and damp,
the rain really didn't show today except for light sprinkles. Lil Orchids soccer game was good, a little boy showed up today after not coming since the first game, he was doing great until he decided to start to stand/hide inside the goal net (lol). Lil Orchid brought the after game treats (juice, cookies and gummies) Next week is the last of soccer, then T ball starts. She can't wait for baseball!
Stopped off at a couple subdivision sales, not alot of finds except for Nathan. He will be coming home next weekend (schools out) then by next weekend he drive north (MN)to his intern job.

Worked by mowing and trimming this afternoon, we planted the trees and bushes given to us on Earth Day (8-Wild Plum & 4-Spice Berry Bushes). After I counted off feet I would lay the plant there for my daughter to plant, except Lil Orchid was walking behind me moving them to her choice spots. We then found her a perfect job of watering! =)

friday

We hung up Lil Orchids's Soy Butter (she goes to a peanut free school) & Bird Seed covered Bagel she made on Earth Day. Woke up this morning and it was gone...not eaten by birds but gone! We decided it was a raccoon or squirrel. She didn't want the little yarn to come down yet. A Sad Reminder :(
