Father's Day & Kitty Kitty's B-Day

Lil Orchid was so excited to call YeYe with me...

phone was busy all day...all 8 tries.

So we celebrated Kitty Kitty's (stuffed)4th b-day

with a picnic just like she wanted.

Although she let everyone know that I couldn't

sit on the blanket like you are suppose to in a real

picnic.

We finally got through to YeYe and she sang

"God Bless America" to YeYe as a gift.

He always tells her it is his favorite ;)

so she wanted to make him happy.

Worked on drying things out AGAIN!

and she played in the wading pool.

Fulton Missouri and the Berlin Wall

While in Fulton we wanted to see the piece of Berlin Wall,

(8 four foot sections each selling for $60-$200 thousand a pc)

I can't think how old the kids were when I took them before?

Lil Orchid enjoyed the Wall & Church and the history story...

I told her that a long time ago there were people

who didn't like each other so they built a wall, it was there for a long time.

Finally their kids said Hey, I don't know why I'm suppose to hate

these people, and with their good hearts tore the wall down.

And that was a good thing! (What else can you tell a 5 yr old)

It was 20 yrs in 2009 that the Wall fell.

1989...WOW

My kids were born in 1976 & 1985

Now that's history to remember!

ENJOY MY PHOTO'S !!

the Wright Brothers...

Decided to break in Uncle N's new car
and drive to Dayton..
we also wanted for Lil Orchid
to receive two (2) more Jr Park Ranger Badges.

It was so interesting, enjoyable,
and most of all we were ALL TOGETHER.

Hint: Don't ever tell Uncle N that
you are tired of walking.

Surprise!

Yes Surprise, there was another reason we went to visit my son in Ohio.
He needed us to bring home the Kia he had been driving since college, back in 2004.
SURPRISE, he has a NEW Car, an Escape! Beautiful isn't it !!

Lil Orchid thought so,
she kept herself busy while we waited for the paperwork to be signed.

Fossils...Rocks...

My son took us not to far from where he lives,
so Lil Orchid could go to a Fossil Park.

She loved it, they found quite a few different fossils.

And she loved the Hammer !!!!

Missing Uncle Nathan..

or is Uncle Nathan missing us?
Not a lot of time but worked it into our schedule to
drive to Ohio and visit.

A Long drive first, sleeping through
the heat and clutching Rapunzel in her hand.
Goofing off while Uncle N is at work,
then working on some craft projects.

While my daughter worked on her bottlecaps.

Dandilions, Clover and Little Girls

Dandilions and Clover are the sweet memories of childhood...
And can bring smiles to your face when you see a little one
collecting a handful just for you.

Strawberry Festival still Sweet

Pleased with our
Shoppe ,
after enduring
the record breaking Heat
during set up.
Do You like my new swords and tunics for the boys?

We watched the "YoYoMan"
We visited the historic Post Office
and had a special Stamp put on
our postcards we sent.

A long day working and having fun.
See ya this fall at
the Apple Butter Festival

Kimmswick Strawberry Festival

Record Breaking Heat kept the crowds down.
But the Strawberries were Delicious!
Just ask Lil Orchid...
Our location was perfect,
except for the Mulberry Tree..
we were able to get electricity
so the fans kept the heat
somewhat bearable.
I am very proud of the
appliqued Strawberry
Jumper and Shortalls
I made for Lil Orchid.

The business behind us was so friendly
and generous with hospitality,
"The Dough Depot"
cute dough ornaments,
but really Great Food!!
Oh and the Frozen Lemonade
was so-o-o Refreshing.

How about a German Chocolate cake
from the Blue Owl.
